He married Mary E. Vanderford 1900. Mary was born 1882. Mary was the daughter of John Austin Vanderford and Samantha Wilmina (Mattie) Bruner.

Fred Arthur Prescott and Mary E. Vanderford had the following children:

2 i. Ruth E.² Prescott.

3 ii. Arthur L. Prescott. He married Vivian.

4 iii. Gertrude Prescott.

5 iv. John Prescott.

6 v. Earl E. Prescott.

7 vi. Lola Prescott was born in Iowa September 1, 1900. Lola died 1987 in Iowa, at 86 years of age. She married Mendenhall.
