Frederick and Ernestine Mueller

1. Frederick William1 Mueller was born in Saxony/Germany May 10, 1839. Frederick died March 3, 1915 in Melrose Park, Cook County, IL, at 75 years of age. His body was interred March 7, 1915 in Hillside, IL, Oakridge Abbey Cemetery.

He married Ernestine Amelia "unknown" in Saxony/Germany, 1868. Ernestine was born in Saxony/Germany July 9, 1847. Ernestine died August 13, 1935 in Melrose Park, Cook County, IL, at 88 years of age. Her body was interred August 17, 1935 in Hillside, IL, Oakridge Abbey Cemetery. Frederick Miller and his pregnant wife brought their family of 7 children (soon to be 8) to America in the fall of 1886. The 1900 Census for Cook County, Illinois, Proviso Township, Village of Maywood states Frederick Miller was born in May 1838 in Saxony/Germany and listed his occupation as "laundryman".

Frederick William Mueller and Ernestine Amelia "unknown" had the following children:

child 2 i. Frederick Ernst2 Mueller was born in Germany. He married Bertha Klein 1892.

child 3 ii. Freida Miller was born in Germany. She married William Hershfeld 1903. (See William Hershfeld for the continuation of this line.) Records indicate that Freida and Bill moved to Baltimore after marrying and had twin boys.

child 4 iii. Paul Miller was born in Germany.

child 5 iv. Selma Miller was born in Germany February 1875. She married Arthur Furse 1893. Arthur was born April 1870. (See Arthur Furse for the continuation of this line.)

child 6 v. Lena Miller was born in Germany March 1875. She married David McGown 1894. David was born in Pennsylvania November 1870. (See David McGown for the continuation of this line.)

child 7 vi. May Miller was born in Germany March 1878. May died March 9, 1954 in Melrose Park, Cook County, IL, at 75 years of age. Her body was interred March 12, 1954 in Hillside, IL, Oakridge Abbey Cemetery. She married Henry Knippenberg 1897. Henry was born July 11, 1872. Henry died March 27, 1965 in Melrose Park, Illinois, at 92 years of age. His body was interred March 31, 1965 in Hillside, IL, Oakridge Abbey Cemetery. (See Henry Knippenberg for the continuation of this line.)

child 8 vii. Martin Frederick (Max) Miller was born in Saxony/Germany May 1882. Martin died February 11, 1963 in Melrose Park, Cook County, IL, at 80 years of age. His body was interred February 14, 1963 in Elmhurst, IL, Arlington Cemetery. He married Theresa Haltil 1905.

child 9 viii. Minnie Clara Miller was born in Cary, Illinois October 14, 1886. She married Theodore Louis Eissfeldt April 1907. Theodore was born in Wisconsin April 1886. Theodore was the son of Carl Eissfeldt and Anna Maria Shuricht. Theodore died 1943 in Dade County, FL, at 57 years of age. (See Theodore Louis Eissfeldt for the continuation of this line.) According to notes from some of her nieces and nephews, Min may have been born on the ship as her family crossed the Atlantic from Germany to America. The 1920 census shows Minnie and husband (Louis/Theodore) living in West Palm Beach, FL with their 3 children. However, the 1930 census shows Minnie with the last name of Eissfeldt, age 43, occupation saleslady, living in Chicago as head of household with her children, but no husband. Her mother was also living with her at that time. Min's sister's (May Knippenberg) obituary in the Chicago Tribune, February 11, 1954, lists Min's last name as Binetsch. Min Binetsch is also listed in her brother's obituary in the Chicago Tribune February 12, 1963. So some time between the 1930 census and her sister's funeral in 1954, Min must have remarried. A possible husband with the last name of Binetsch is listed in the SS death index. Theodore Binetsch was born May 21, 1887 in ILL and died in January 1975 in Springfield, IL.

Discussions with Wilbur Vanderford indicate Rose's parents last name was changed to Miller from Mueller when they entered the USA from Germany. Rose was born in the USA, so her maiden name was Miller. Wilbur also indicated Rose's brothers last name was Mueller.

Rose's death certificate indicates she died of heart disease.
