1. Charles Andrew¹ Mensik was born January 24, 1919. Charles died May 31, 1993 in Adams, WI, at 74 years of age.

He married Dorothy Minnie Smith. Dorothy was born October 6, 1922. Dorothy died March 11, 2010 in Elgin, IL, at 87 years of age. Below is the text of Dorothy Mensik's obituary:

Dorothy M. Mensik of Elgin passed away on March 11, 2010 at Apostolic Christian Resthaven. She was born on October 6, 1922 to Rufus and Elsie Smith. She lived in Wisconsin for many years and returned to Elgin in 1995. She was a resident of Willow Lake Estates from 1995 to 2005. She was a volunteer for the Women's Auxillary for Big Flats Fire Department in Wisconsin. Surviving are one son, Charles (Penny) Mensik of West Dundee, IL; one daughter Dorothy Ruttmam of South Elgin, IL; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister; five brothers. Preceded by husband, Charles A. Mensik; parents; seven siblings; son-in-law, Ronald F. Ruttman. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday March 18, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. at the Apostolic Christian Resthavens lower level multipurpose room, 2750 w. Highland Ave., Elgin IL 60124. Memorials may be made to the Apostolic Christian Resthaven or Hospice of Northeastern IL. Laird Funeral Home is in care of arrangements. 847-741-8800.
