2. Charles2 Steele (George A.1) was born in Union County, PA May 8, 1828. Charles died February 26, 1889 in Knoxville, Iowa, at 60 years of age. His body was interred February 28, 1889 in Marion County, IA, Lincoln Cemetery.
He married Amy Delp in Pennsylvania, May 1, 1851. Amy was born in Middlesex County, PA 1834. Amy was the daughter of George Delp and Sarah Ann Swartslander. Amy died May 14, 1914 in Union County, PA, at 79 years of age. Her body was interred May 19, 1914 in Marion County, IA, Lincoln Cemetery. Charles's ancestors were German and Irish. After marriage in Pennsylvania, Charles moved his family to Marion County, IA in 1864 where he operated a blacksmith shop for a number of years. He owned land and was a Baptist. Charles and Amy had 10 children, 5 of which died very young.

Frances Zeleika Steele was born in Uniontown, PA June 17, 1859. Frances died May 3, 1940 in Thomas, Custer,
OK, at 80 years of age. Her body was interred May 8, 1940 in Thomas, Custer, OK. She married twice. She married George Ames. She married George Washington McBurney in Knoxville,
Marion, IA, August 23, 1876. George was born in Farmington, Ontario, NY March 14, 1850. George was the son of
Hamilton McBurney and Eliza. George died February 26, 1928 in Thomas, Custer, OK, at 77 years of age. His
body was interred February 28, 1928 in Thomas, Custer, OK, Mound Valley Cemetery. (See George
Washington McBurney for the continuation of this line.) Francis married George Ames but they divorced. Then she married George
Washington McBurney August 23, 1876 in Knoxville, Iowa.
