Henry Heltzell and Elizabeth had the following child:

2 i. Dorothy² Heltzell was born in Woodstock, Virginia September 23, 1824. Dorothy died July 14, 1905 in Ligonier, Perry Township, Noble County, IN, at 80 years of age. Her body was interred July 20, 1905 in Ligonier, Perry Township, Noble County, IN, Oak Park Cemetery. She married twice. She married Austin Comer Vanderford in Woodstock, Virginia, About 1845. Austin was born in Eagle Township, Hocking Co., Ohio January 11, 1821. Austin was the son of William Vanderford and Sally Comer. Austin died About 1857 in Noble County, Indiana. (See Austin Comer Vanderford for the continuation of this line.) She married Joshua Heffner in Indiana, December 26, 1857. (See Joshua Heffner for the continuation of this line.) According to the Conrad Record, August 4, 1905, Dorothy died at the home of her son in Ligonier, IN. She had moved to Indiana in her early youth, settling in Ligonier December 12, 1836. At that time there was but one house in Ligonier. At the time of her death she was the oldest continuous settler in Noble County. She was one of the charter members of the U.B. church at Ligonier.
