5. William Albert³ Steele (Charles², George A.¹) was born in Cornisea, Pensylvania June 11, 1851. William died April 4, 1928 in Hot Springs, SD, at 76 years of age. His body was interred April 10, 1928 in Des Moines, IA.

He married Ella Laura Nofsker in Knoxville, Marion, IA, March 17, 1874. Ella was born in Wayne County, Ohio July 15, 1851. Ella was the daughter of William Henry Nofsker and Anna S. Kelly. Ella died March 17, 1925 in St. Joseph, Missouri, at 73 years of age. William was owner of Stone quaries in Marion Co.,Iowa and near Hot Springs,South Dakota. He and his wife Ella Nofsker Steele are buried at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa.

William Albert Steele and Ella Laura Nofsker had the following children:

8 i. Bertram V.⁴ Steele.

9 ii. Bessie Steele.

10 iii. Mary (Mamie) Del Steele.

11 iv. Ethel Amy Steele was born in Knoxville, Iowa February 7, 1879. Ethel died September 20, 1944 in Des Moines, Iowa, at 65 years of age. She married Oscar Ely Lewis. Oscar was born in Victor, Iowa September 10, 1876. Oscar died April 26, 1963 in Des Moines, Iowa, at 86 years of age.
